About Me ...
My name is Lindsay Mandra and I am very excited to begin my fifth year as a teacher at Independence Jr. High School! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kyle, and our pet cats, Charlie and Franklin. We also own a tortoise, Francesca, and a tropical fish tank.
During the fall you can find me coaching color guard for the North Central College Marching Band. I have a passion for music and the positive influences it can have on our students.

Education and Teaching Experience...
I graduated from Saint Xavier University in May of 2009 with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Middle School Language Arts. I then began working in the A.C.E. program at Elim Christian School with students with autism. Through my time there I discovered a passion for working with special needs students. Following that passion, I obtained an endorsement in Special Education from Governor's State University.
